A travel journal that fits in your pocket
Niravah is a notebook for your trip. One page a day, with the photo you chose, a few words, the place and the people you were with. It works without an account, and it waits for you if a day slips by.
One page a day, never a blank one
At the end of a day in Lisbon you open today's page. You pick one photo, add a few words ("the tram, far too full, the pastel de nata worth it"), name the place and tag who you were with. That is a page. If you skip a day, the notebook is exactly as you left it.
Your places, on a map
Each notebook has a Contents page, and one of its cards is a map of the places you went. The café where you waited out the rain and the hill you almost did not climb sit next to each other, in the order your trip happened. Places you add by name work without a connection.
Words, when you have more to say
Some evenings a photo is enough. Other evenings you want a whole page of words, and the journal gives you room for that. Add a few mood words if they help, or leave them out.
Leafing through it afterwards
Back home, you flip through the photos you chose, not your whole camera roll. Weeks later, a day from the trip comes back on its own as a card on the home screen. And you can turn a few pages into a little film or an image to hand to someone who stayed home (it carries a small Niravah mark).
Before you leave
Count down to your departure with a countdown, and keep a wishes list of places you hope to see. Nothing is due. They simply sit there, looking ahead with you.
What is free, what is Premium
Your first notebook and everything in it are free: pages, photos, journal, places map, recaps, countdowns and wishes. Starting a new notebook, say one per trip, is part of Niravah Premium (from €6.99 a month, €54.99 a year or €129.99 once). Notebooks you already have stay free forever. Six cover colours are free; the full catalogue, decorations and cover photos are Premium. The free version shows a few ads, never on your day's page or where you write.
Questions
- Do I need an account to keep a travel journal in Niravah?
- No. Niravah works without an account, and your pages stay on your phone by default. If you want, an optional backup stores your pages and words encrypted before they leave your phone, hosted in Europe.
- Can I write without a connection?
- Yes. Pages, photos and words are kept on your phone first, so a plane or a quiet valley does not get in the way.
- Can I have one notebook per trip?
- Yes, with Niravah Premium. Without it, you keep one notebook that simply grows, and a trip is a stretch of pages inside it, each with its place.
- Can I share my trip with someone?
- Yes, in a way you choose. You can make a little film or an image from your pages and hand it to someone. It is made to give, not to post.
