A journal with no streaks and no catching up
Niravah is a notebook in photos and words. A photo and a few words make a page, and a page is enough for the day. Nothing counts your days, so you can come back after a week, or a month, and find it just as you left it.
One small thing is a whole page
Some days you will write a paragraph. Most days you will pick one photo and add six words. Both are pages, and neither is worth more. Add a place or a person if you like, a few mood words if they help.
Nothing is counting
There is no streak counter, no score and no ranking. Reminders exist, and they are off until you turn them on, with the days and the time you choose. Miss them for a month and nothing is lost, and nothing is waiting to scold you.
Words, when you want them
The journal has room for long entries, and it will never hand you a question you have to answer. There is the Pause too: a few calm minutes, with a few small things to try, like looking back at one of your photos, or nothing at all. Use it on a Tuesday afternoon, or never.
Coming back, softly
Over time, older pages return as cards on the home screen: a photo, a day, a line you wrote months ago. You do not have to do anything with them. They are there to be noticed, and only days with real content come back.
Yours, and private
Your pages stay on your phone by default, and Niravah works without an account. An optional passcode closes the app when someone else picks up your phone. If you choose a backup, it is encrypted before it leaves your phone and hosted in Europe.
What is free, what is Premium
Your first notebook and everything in it are free: pages, journal, photos, places, recaps. Starting a new notebook for a new season of life is part of Niravah Premium (from €6.99 a month, €54.99 a year or €129.99 once), and notebooks you already have stay free forever. Premium also removes the ads. The free version shows a few, never on your day's page or where you write.
Questions
- Is there a journal app with no streaks?
- Yes, Niravah has none. It has no streak counter, no score and no ranking, and a day you skip leaves no mark on your notebook.
- Do I have to write every day?
- No. Niravah is a notebook, not a schedule. Keep a page when something is worth keeping, whether that is every evening or twice a month.
- Will Niravah send me reminders?
- Only if you ask. Reminders are off by default, and you choose the days and the time. You can turn them off again whenever you like.
- Is my journal private?
- Yes. Your pages stay on your phone by default, and the app works without an account. An optional backup is encrypted before it leaves your phone and hosted in Europe, and an optional passcode locks the app.
