To start a travel journal in Niravah, give the trip a notebook, then keep one page a day with a photo, a few words and the place. It works without an account and without a connection, so a train or a quiet valley does not get in the way.
Choose where the trip lives
Your first notebook is free, and a trip can simply be a stretch of pages inside it. For a notebook of its own, open “This notebook” and tap “Start a new notebook”. Niravah asks “Close this notebook?”, offers “A name, if you like” for the next one, and puts the current one on your shelf. Starting a new notebook is part of Premium.
Keep a page each day
At the end of the day, tap “Add to my notebook” and choose “Add photos” for the picture that tells the day. Add a few words with “Write in the journal”, and note who you were with using “Log someone you saw”. One photo and one sentence is a whole page.
Note the place
In the journal, tap “Remember where you are” and Niravah adds your approximate city, once you have agreed to it. Or choose “Type a place” and write a name: “Type a city or place name and it will settle onto your map.” City names are found on your phone, so this works without a connection.
Find places in photos you already took
If you took photos before opening Niravah, go to Settings, then “Your Data”, and choose “Find places in your photos”. It runs once, on your phone, and you pick which places to keep.
Look at your map
Open the notebook’s Contents page and tap “Places”, described as “A map of where you went”. Each place you noted rests on the map, and from a place you can tap “See that day’s page” to read it again.
Look ahead to the next one
On the home screen, “On the horizon” lets you “Add an event”, such as your departure. And in “My Wishes”, the category “Places to visit” keeps the places you hope to see.
