How to keep your first page in Niravah

Tap "Add to my notebook" and keep a photo or a few words. Here is how a first page comes together, with a place, a person and mood words if you like.

To keep your first page, tap “Add to my notebook” on the home screen and choose a photo or a few words. That is already a page. A place, a person and mood words can join it whenever you like.

Tap “Add to my notebook”

It is the button at the top of the home screen, under Niravah’s greeting. It opens a short chooser titled “Add to your notebook”. The very first time, it asks a gentler question: “One small thing from today?”

Choose what to keep

Pick “Choose a photo” to keep an image, or “Write in the journal” to keep a few words. The journal says “A few words about your day…” and one sentence is plenty. If you would rather note a small good moment, “Note something that did you good” is there too. You can also tap “Not now” and come back later.

Add a place

In the journal, tap the place button, “Remember where you are”. The first time, Niravah explains that your location is read once, on your phone, and asks for your consent. You can also choose “Type a place” and write a city or a spot by name.

Add a person

From the same chooser, “Log someone you saw” lets you note who you spent the moment with. Their name then sits on your page next to the photo and the words.

Add mood words

Open today’s page and tap the mood spot. A sheet asks “What’s the vibe?” and lets you choose up to five words. If one is enough, choose one. “Skip for now” is always there.

See that it’s kept

After your first page, a quiet screen says “It’s kept. Today’s page is in your notebook.” It may also offer “A gentle pause reminder?” You can answer “No thanks”, and nothing changes.

Good to know

  • Your first notebook and everything in it are free, and Niravah works without an account.
  • Your pages stay on your phone by default.
  • Nothing asks you to come back tomorrow. A page a day, a page a week, it is all the same notebook.
  • Starting a new notebook later is part of Premium. The one you are writing in keeps growing for free.

A first page needs very little. If you would like to see how a notebook with no pressure feels, read about gentle journaling, or browse the questions and answers. When you are ready, get Niravah, free on iOS and Android.
