How to keep a bucket list in Niravah

Keep your wishes in their own list, mark them as done when you live them, and look ahead with countdowns. No progress bars, no pressure.

To keep a bucket list in Niravah, open “Wishes” from your notebook’s Contents page, type a wish and press enter. Add a countdown for anything with a date. Nothing counts how many are left.

Open your wishes

From the notebook’s Contents page, tap the “Wishes” card, “Things to live or see”. It opens “My Wishes”. You can also tap “Add to my notebook” on the home screen and choose “Add a wish”.

Start from a category

Your wishes open with a few starting points: “Places to visit”, “Things to learn”, “Books to read”, “Films to watch”, and “My wishes” for whatever does not fit elsewhere. They are suggestions, “Make them your own, or add something entirely new.”

Type a wish

On a category page, tap the line that says “Add a wish”, write a few words and press enter. A wish is just text. In “Places to visit”, Niravah says “Finding this place…” and rests it on your map as a place to see.

Shape your list

“Add a category” lets you group wishes however feels right. “Sort” lets you drag wishes into the order you like. Tap a wish to rename it, move it to another category or remove it.

Mark a wish as done

When you live one, open it and tap “Mark as done”. It settles at the bottom of its category as “Lived”, and “You’ve lived this” stays on it. Changed your mind? “Mark as not done” puts it back. There is no progress bar and no percentage.

Add a countdown

On the home screen, “On the horizon” has “Add an event”. Name it under “New Countdown”, set the date, and tap “Add”. A trip, a wedding, a move: it shows what is coming, and you can ignore it as long as you like. Birthdays of people you noted appear there on their own.

Good to know

  • Wishes and their categories are free.
  • You can keep up to 8 active countdowns for free. Birthdays do not count. Unlimited countdowns are part of Premium.
  • If you reach the limit, nothing is deleted. Niravah says “You’ve reached your countdown limit” and offers “Explore Premium”, or you can simply carry on.
  • Wishes belong to the notebook where you wrote or lived them, and “This notebook” or “All” lets you see everything.
